和歌山城下の角地に建つ住宅です。1階は地域住人が通り抜けが可能な庭を作り、住宅とパブリックな空間の境を限りなく無くすことで、より公共性のある住宅としています。家と街との新しい関わり合いの仕方の提案です。
This residence locates on the corner of the castle town of Wakayama Castle. There is a yard on the first floor where the neighbors can pass through. The border between the residence and the public space reduces as much as possible so that it provides more openly. We propose a new way of how to make relationships with a house and a town.
住居部分は2階のみで構成し、玄関という場所をあえて作っていません。玄関の機能は階段を上がったら現れる4箇所の開口部に託し、好きな扉どこからでも内部空間に行き来できるようにしました。それは校庭から各教室に入る学校形式ようなカタチに近いです。子供室には隠し部屋や隠し通路をつくり、タラップを使って秘密基地に入るようなドキドキする仕掛けを作りました。
The living space consists only on the second floor without the entrance. Four openings have a role as the entrance, where it exists on the second floor. Then, you can access the inside from any doors wherever you want. It is like the school building that can access each classroom from the schoolyard. Some secret chambers and some passages equipped in the children’s room, and it provides some thrilling tricks as if they adventure into the secret base using a ladder.
